Paint Repair for a Leaky Master Cylinder

What a damn mess this turned out to be. It’s hard not to keep going once you begin going down a rabbit hole. Ever since I took ownership of the Craigslist Miata it leaked fluids. The engine leaked oil, the power steering hard line might as well have had a hole in it and the seal behind the brake master cylinder had most certainly seen better days.

The engine let go on the highway, taking care of that one. The power steering was remedied the day before the rear end said fuck it. But the brake fluid leaking down into the engine bay and peeling back a layer of paint was not only becoming a real eyesore but could lead to rust in a less than ideal location. So out came the masking tape and red paint. It turns out that Rustoleum red matches pretty well.
