Mazda unveiled the Vision concept here in LA. The sharp edges and crisp lines signal a future of stylish vehicles to wear the Hiroshima based car builder’s KODO design philosophy. While the couple like form is sized more along the lines of a traditional sedan, it is the ever-present rumor of a possible rotary powerplant that makes this concept a future vision for Mazda that we stand behind.

An Oil Change and an Update on Those Frame Rails

It was time to change dinosaur juice, and as long as the CLM was already up on the ramps we figured that it was as good a time as any to take a closer look at those Flying Miata frame rails. Handling was noticeably improved, the car feels much more solid and the chassis less lazy. The flex you feel from a 25 year old roadster wasn’t as annoying as before the reinforcements went on. Be careful of big speedbumps, as you now have a bit less ground clearance, but at least now it’s steel scraping across the concrete and not the underside of the car.
